Planning Your Events

The GH Fan Weekend is a very crazy, hectic, exciting time and it's VERY easy to get burned out quickly if you don't pace yourself, especially if you are not used to a manic, heavily scheduled, aggressive lifestyle populated by a thousand or so drooling, wild-eyed people. For that reason, I urge you to choose your events carefully. Make sure you are picking events that do not overlap or come close to encroaching on other events you plan to attend. The Sportsman's Lodge, where most of the events will be held, is a HUGE facility and the layout can be very, very confusing. Events are often scheduled on opposite ends of the complex and check-in times are nearly absolute (so BE ON TIME), while the time an event ends is anyone's guess. A projected time for the end of the event is given, but it's rare that an event will actually let out at the scheduled time. Plan your schedule carefully to avoid having to rush around so much that you don't enjoy the event.

Also, as wimpy as it sounds, allow yourself blank areas of time for resting. You're going to be surprised how tired you get having fun. It's good to have time in the morning and in the afternoon if possible to relax and put your feet up for a while.

Kin Shriner will host an event for longtime General Hospital fans during the final day of the fan club weekend celebration. The setting is the Vista room at the Sportsman’s Lodge Hotel in Studio City, CA. The late afternoon event will offer fans the opportunity to hear Kin’s unique storytelling skills firsthand, and relive some of the great history (the way he thinks he remembers it) of the GH glory days. But, he can’t do it alone – expect a few of his GH friends to stop in for a quick visit, as well.

Kin is returning to Los Angeles after enjoy a summer vacation that has taken him to his home in Florida and to other exotic locations. But now it’s time for Kin to bring Scott back to Port Charles, where in the next few weeks the longtime popular character will return to the screen to shake, rattle and roll the lives of PC residents.

Yes, Scotty’s back in town!

The event is July 14th at 4:30pm. Tickets are $60 and are available at the door, as well as at the GH FC kickoff party (Thursday), and the GH FC luncheon (Saturday).
