Happy Thanksgiving Week! AMC Of course, the really big question is just where the complete hell is: ??? For years it's been the best AMC site on the net and one day recently, it just *went away*! Moved into action by the questions of a few (the understatement of the year) distraught readers of the Bulletin, I dropped a line to my buddy (we served in a war together, trust me), Kathy Carano, who is the owner and webmaster of the site and she gave us the info. Seems some nutless wonder managed to get their unemployed computer geek brother to take time out from his role-playing game career to hack into the site and cause it to crash every time it goes live. Kathy has folks hard at work on the problem and PVB should be back in business in short order. Like with the Scott Egan fiasco, this time, the good guys are going to win. People with keyboards need to learn that it doesn't make them bulletproof and there are still legal measures to be taken against those who decide to get nasty and attack! For those who want to keep current with PVB info, the message board is still alive and well at: http://pub29.ezboard.com/fpinevalleybulletincommunityfrm1 You can read spoiler and news updates, as well as catching the chat there. We've got your back, Kathy!
OLTL
Although we have heard that the sickle is swinging at OLTL and all of the ABC soaps to clear away the extra cast members who don't seem to be going anywhere and although we have watched very nearly every contact RJ has in town slipping away from him, my sources are still saying that Timothy J. Stickney isn't leaving OLTL. Whether or not he'll actually get a good story remains to be seen, but we should be able to breathe easy soon as the cast changes slow down and RJ remains with us. As mentioned last week, there is talk of Patricia Elliott (Renee), Phil Carey (Asa) and Patricia Mauceri (Carlotta) going to recurring status. Fiona Hutchinson (Gabrielle) is still set to leave, although I know she's around on New Year's Eve when Bo returns her engagement ring to her and she accepts his re-proposal. Remember, word of David Fumero's (ex-Cris) exit came months before Cris actually died and there's still no official word on when Hutchinson will have a final airdate or how she'll be written off the show.
A wonderful reader brought out the obvious points on either a red herring or something so blantant it is biting us on the ass with the Music Box Killer. She writes: "The killings started in New Jersey, Ron just came to Llanview from New Jersey just before the killings started. The girls all took dance lessons, Ron teaches dance. Everytime the music box killer is mentioned, the next scene has Ron in it. To keep Jessica safe while wearing the infamous leotard, Ron walked her to her car. OLTL is being as blunt about Ron as they were about Walker being Todd."
Leaving with a whimper rather than a bang, the departure of Bruce Hall as Joey Buchanan will be again the result of Joey slipping away to London to be with Clint and Cordero for a while. No recast is planned in the immediate future. Same for Shanelle Workman as Flash/Sarah Roberts. At this point, the plan is a quiet slip into the woodwork.
Handsome Tuc Watkins (David Vickers) not only made his way into the open credits for OLTL, but also was the breakout hit of SSW, leaving other heart throbs like Trevor St John (Walker), newcomer Michael Easton and the latest Kevin incarmation, Dan Gautier, in the dust. Many fans were taken aback by his charm and good humor. When asked about potential love interests for David, Watkins offered himself up to Carlotta while Hillary B. Smith cheerfully suggested that Nora was available. He also voiced his pleasure with the current storyline, which passes him back and forth between Cramer Cousins, Blair and Kelly. GH
More info keep coming out about Eileen Boylan being replayed by Katie Stuart (ex-Cindy, rape accusing teen). Now it seems the story is that GH told Boylan they'd work around her movie filming schedule, but decided after the fact that they didn't want to accommodate her outside ventures and recast despite her desire to return after the movie was in the can. Boylan says she is heartbroken about their decision.
You've probably heard about their time at a country inn. They are getting very cozy and romantic when they are interrupted by a Port Charles policeman who needs Ric to come with him to assist with the indictment of Sonny for the attempted murder of Alcazar. Supposedly, they later return to the cabin and as Liz comforts Ric on having to work against his brother, they lead into lovemaking. It is expected that Ric is going to learn the truth about Liz's pregnancy before December is over, but this is still up for debate among scoopsters. Regardless, the lean at this time is toward Liz and Ric being together for a while, despite any rocks in the road caused by the pregnancy.
Carly's starting to get a grip on things, but it doesn't quite land where the CarSon fans would like to see it. On Wednesday, she confesses to Sonny that she doesn't feel what she should feel for him and things become even more complicated on Monday Dec 1st when Sonny learns that Carly warned Lorenzo that he was coming for him. Even though Carly is feeling torn about her feelings, she's still determined to stand by Sonny. Having been shot by Brian during the kidnapping of Sam, Sonny is in the hospital in police custody and Scott is giving him a hard time, working the angle of Sonny's claustrophobia and teasing him about how cramped his cell will be. Carly gets Bobbie to drug Sonny and then sneaks him out of the hospital. He wakes up on his jet and Carly tells him she's taking him away. She takes him to France, figuring no one will end up looking for them there. Sonny is confident that she still loves him and begins seducing her. Things get heated as they kiss, but he wants to make sure she's right there with him and not faking again. Scott decides that he's going to put Sonny on trial whether he's there or not, but he hedges his bets by getting a court order to make Michael and Morgan wards of the state, trying to bait Sonny to come home. Justus works to fight the court order in the absence of the Corinthos parents. Alcazar learns that they are in France and is in flight faster than you can say croissant.
Speaking of chemistry testing, can you believe there is already a fan base set up for Sonny and Sam even though they have not yet shared a single scene together? Right now the idea seems to be to throw everything up in the air and see what sticks together.
And while we're on chemistry, what brilliant mind put this duo, on the show together for two years now, on the same team? My guess is that it was da man, Tony Geary, himself. Weird rumors abound about Skye's paternity. Some say Rae will return and confess that she lied about Alan not being the father (can we PLEASE have a DNA test??) under duress from Tracy. Others insist that she's Luke's daughter (somehow, I just can't see Luke and Rae together). So it's mum for now on whether they will be partners as they are now, romantically involved or father and daughter, but it was definitely a breath of fresh air to see Luke and Skye size one another up from the time he first grabbed her in the lake house. It's not often that two scoundrels can look at one another with sheer admiration, but this is a match made in heaven. What I like best about it is that they are both able to be appreciated for who and what they are rather than in spite of their true spirit. Both Luke and Skye have repeatedly fallen into the trap of working to fit into a cookie cutter world when they are far too unique and deliciously rogue to be contained by society's dictates. It's a joy to see them with someone who can finally appreciate and deserve the real deal, no kid gloves or pretenses. Personally, I think it works no matter where they take the relationship.
Lovin the locks? I didn't think so. Don't be counting on a trim anywhere soon. Lorenzo's portrayer, Ted King, planned the goofy hair all along, or rather planned the end result and tolerates the in between stage to get there. He sees Lorenzo with hair down to his shoulders before all is said and done. I'm all for layering that stuff up ala Mel Gibson, but by all accounts, he's going for the one length look.
Nope, I don't really have any unique or mind-blowing info this week, but it's all here in one place and I still wanted to share what I'd picked up since we last talked. This is the time of the month when we need to ask our friends and readers to help us to stay around for another month. Just give me a cup and put me by the church to cry "Alms for the poor!" Our site expenses are due soon and this month, our EOS account is empty, so we really need to have our readers chip in to keep us going! You can click on the PayPal button to contribute or on Options to learn other ways. We appreciate your support and promise that we'll be around as long as you help us to be around! Take care all and I'll see you next week! ·.·´¨ ¨))
