Where ARE They??

I've been looking all over for those GH viewers who forced me to promise that I'd let them know when it's safe to come back to GH.  Pssst.  Psst.  It's safe!  You can come out now!

I really hope that I'm not ringing the dinner bell too soon, here, but it looks as though, both from recent offerings and upcoming spoilers, that we might be on the mend after a terrible, terrible few years. 

I have to confess, it crept up on me.  At first, I found I wasn't quite hating the whole show.  Then it was more like I was actively enjoying bits and pieces of it.  Then I was not taking pee breaks and now I'm back to tentatively loving it again!  SO much Quartermaine!  Carly with her phallic umbrella (right JenJen?) jabbing at Faith.  Watching Sonny collapse on Carly and then today, confiding his heart to Jason.  I kept thinking Jason was going to scoop him up in his arms and cuddle him like a teddy bear.  I can't wait for the wonderful week of Tracy!  If you don't start before, you'd better be glued to the set on the 17th or you'll be tearing your hair out later!  Tracy playing with Jax??  Tyler back??  The Spencer-Cassadine feud is ON?  Emily and Zander?  A breast cancer story that will allow for wonderful historical interjection?  Skye isn't really a Quartermaine so she's freed up to finally consummate with AJ??  Mason and Julia??  Liz is freed up because she sees Ric for who he really is?  BRING IT ON, Baby!  I'm feeling a Reginald scene coming on!!

One thing I did (foolishly) forget is the horrid phrase "FRIENDS OF JILL" or FOJ's.  Executive Producer of GH, Jill Farren Phelps, has a list of friends who she will always employ.  She followed through with Megan McTavish, head writer/butcher extraordinaire, and McTavish ended up being the scapegoat who had to get fired for the Horrid Years of Angel In White.  Interestingly enough, a major player on the FOJ list is former Roy DiLucca, A Martinez, who even named his child after Jill.  He's not around, perhaps by choice.  Kale Brown is another best buddy of Jill and he has been providing the voice of the radio announcer on GH.  Now, rumors are swirling that he is coming around for real to the cast and the words "Cassadine" are being breathed.  WTF?  Honestly, I'm thinking "I don't think so, darling."  Here's why:

Pfft.  OK, so I wasn't into adjusting colors and such like, but deal with it, OK?  Let's sing the song together.  "One of these things is not like the other.  One of these things just doesn't belong."  No way can they pass this guy off as a Cassadine BUT while perusing the EOS message boards, my blood ran cold as I read the idea of one of my darlings.  Freakin YIKES.

Check this out:

Cesar Faison, super villain.  He is by far, the very best villain ever in daytime, although Mitch Laurence is a really cool and close second.  Faison is *sigh* excellent and Anders Hove of "Radu" fame just ate up the part in a very good way.  He loved playing Faison and it showed.

Now check this crap out.  Here's the famous Kale Brown as mentioned above:

His dossier is like this:  Michael Hudson on Another World.  Some miscellaneous stuff.  The original Sam Rappaport on OLTL.  Things to know about him:  good screen presence but he licks his lips compusively and that freaks me out a bit.  Definitely better at being Sam than Larry Lau was at being Sam. 

As I said, the rumor mill is cranking saying that Kale is on his way to join his friend, Jill, on GH in a big way.  Here's what scares me.  Look at the pic of Anders Hove.  I'll wait.  You back?  Cooool, baby.  Now look at Kale.  Now put your drink down, put your lovely ass firmly in the chair and check out Kaleson:

This is some serious scary stuff, my loves.  I could take it over the idea of him being (yet) another Cassadine, but dang.

As far as Stephen Nichols coming back, I'm sorry, but I'm just not ready to have the big party yet.  I LOVE Stefan and I ADORE Stephen, but too many of my sources are being really weird about confirming this and I've got a really uneasy feeling.  It's possible that honey, I just want it to be true too badly, so I'm bane to be disappointed.  It's also possible that I'm terrified that the current regime is going to jack up Stefan like they've done so many other characters.  I'm not going to believe it until it's out of the mouth of Nichols, ABC or a bonerfied CassaHo.

From what I've heard, Tracy is going to be a very, very busy girl during her week in Port Charles and always, always Jane Elliot is a joy to watch as Miss Thang does her thing.  For those of you who are not familiar with her work, just sit back and prepare to be educated in the fine art of Soap Diva Mastery.  My personal Tracy moment has to be at Alan and Lucy's wedding.  She's just to die for.  Trust me.  You'll love her.

Dillon, her son, is supposedly going to be acting like a boy of the world on the outside but filled with little boy angst on the inside.  (awww)  Since Georgie has her hand on his leg in the 40th anniversary picture, I'm guessing the rumors of her claim on him are accurate.

Got a few more GH scoops from a reliable source:

Sonny pits Faith and Ric against one another.

Ric reassures Liz, but when she sees him in action, she's unnerved.

Ric falls for Sonny and Jason's trap.

Carly learns that Sonny is the father of her baby and tells Sonny what happened with Ric.

Zander sees Emily injecting herself and thinks she's on drugs again.

Emily is taken to the ER and Monica learns that Em has breast cancer.  Emily tells Monica she wants to keep her condition a secret, so Monica tells the family that Emily is addicted to painkillers. (?!)  Emily refuses treatment.

Zander proposes to Emily.

Liz covers for Ric.

Sonny reassures Carly that she is the love of his life.

Jason finds that Ric has a photo of Lily in his apartment (red herring?).

Ric kidnaps Courtney.

Carly is ready to get back at Ric.

For the record, the rumor of David E. Kelley taking over GH is, sadly, just a rumor that was put out by GHH2 for fun on April Fool's Day.  Don't have to  write and ask any more, darlings.  It's not true.

I looked for some sobbing reassurance from a sweetheart of mine (we will make beautiful babies together) in Blake Gibbons' arena and no go.  He's not under contract and if a better offer comes along, he's outta der.  *choke*sob*  Like they say, "USE IT OR LOSE IT, IDIOTS!!"

In short, I don't know who died or fell asleep or is tied up in a closet, but GH is getting better and promises to get even better than that, so at least start peeking through your fingers if not watching full scale.
