Katrina's Nonsoapy Journal

September 10, 2004

It's amazing.  If the above photograph, taken in Garberville, California, had more curve in the road, it could have been taken outside my front door.  Lemme see if I can get this camera to work.

Isn't that an incredible similarity?  Just add sunlight!  Funny, yesterday our heading was "Here Comes the Sun."  :)

Since the camera has decided to cooperate, here are some pictures.  First, Georgia's birthday gifts to me (Goddess bless'er):

The pig who shoots fire out his snout.

The weenie dogs who shoot salt and pepper out of their butts.

The red Unipig

These are the cool little piggy candle holders from Joe & Sandra

This is my cool aquarium from Eric.  Two fish died already.  :(  Nathan decided to crank up the heater and add some food.  We almost had fish soup it got so hot.  I put ice cubes in, turned off the light and opened the top and I think we got it cooled down fast enough that the survivors are only mildly retarded.  The two that died were puny ones any way.  We'll see how many are left by Monday.

This is the bane of my existence, the psycho dog, Spooky.  He has good intentions and is a sweet spirit, but he's only 6 months old, so that's about 3 1/2 in human years, I guess and he has this big ol' body and lots and lots of enthusiasm.  If we can speak in dog allegory, he is my husband's deadbeat friend who moved in, eats all the time, bothers the neighbors, tackles the kids and chases the cats.  The hardest part is he ADORES me.  I'm not sure why.  I keep telling myself if we can get him past the next year, I'll have a friend for life.  Meanwhile, he's a bit of a pain in my ass.  Eric has offered to find him another home, but I'd feel bad giving up this early in the game no matter how much of an inconvenience it is.

We have ZERO weekend plans and I plan to keep it that way.  One thing I know for sure is that I especially plan to NOT go down the mountain for once.  I do have to get off my ass insulation and get this house clean because tonight we celebrate New Moon with the coven.  I've really been goofin off this week big time (my best birthday present, I think) and Eric has been an angel about it, so I need to take my good intentions and put them to work on this place.  Surely, I can give it a couple of hours, right?

I hope all of you have a magnificently fabulous weekend full of excitement if you want it and tranquility if that's your goal and joy no matter what.

Much Love,
Katrina
