NATHAN PURDEE   HENRY “HANK” GANNON 1992 - PRESENT

Nathan Purdee plays Hank Gannon, District Attorney for Llantano County.  Hank is an extremely smart and ambitious individual, obsessed with the enforcement of the law.  Hank has one brother, RJ, and a grown daughter, Rachel, who was born when he and Nora were married.  Years after their divorce, Nora married his good friend Bo Buchanan, but they still remain very close friends. 

Nathan Purdee was born on August 6, 1950, in Tampa, Florida, but has also lived in  Washington, D.C.;  Bakersfield, California;  Kaiserslautern, Germany; and Denver, Colorado.  Upon his completion of high school, he was awarded an academic scholarship to Lindfield College in Oregon, where he majored in criminology and minored in theater before earning a degree in mental health from Denver’s Metropolitan State College. 

Nathan has pursued several professions in the past, but now he's concentrating on just three of them:  acting, producing and painting.     

Prior to his role on One Life to Live, Nathan had a  two-day stint on The Young and the Restless as Nathan Hastings, that soon became a seven-year contract.  Next came a short-term role on Santa Barbara, after which he spent his 1989 summer vacation starring in his first theatrical film, playing the lead in The Return of Superfly.  The film was shot on location in Connecticut, New York and Paris.   

On his return from Europe, Nathan Purdee the artist sold his first painting to a Parisian art collector.  Since his  move to New York, in an effort to create opportunity for himself and the talent pool surrounding him, he started his own production company, Karmic Release, Ltd., and began developing his first project, “Family Tree”, based on the many generations of an extraordinary multiracial family.   Nathan has just finished as executive producer on his first film - Wallowitch & Ross: THIS MOMENT, a documentary that is currently being shown in film festivals. 

Nathan’s other ‘project’ is son Taylor Armstrong Purdee, born January 14, 1992, whom Nathan raises with his wife, RobE.
