Jill Larson was born on October 7, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She joined All My Children in November of 1989 as the outrageous Opal Sue Gardner Purdy Cortlandt, a role originated by Dorothy Lyman. Ms. Larson was nominated for an Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy in 1991 and again in 1993.

Ms. Larson holds a degree in communications from Hunter College in NYC, and studied drama at the Circle in the Square. She is primarily a stage actress, whose roles include Laura in The Glass Menagerie, and title roles in Agnes of God and Gypsy. Ms. Larson also is a founding member and president of GLM Productions, a theatrical production company.

Jill Larson’s television credits include After School Specials, The Equalizer and Kate and Allie. Her soap credits include roles as Garnet on Santa Barbara, Judith Clayton on As the World Turns, and Ursula Blackwell on One Life To Live.

Ms. Larson, who adopted a baby daughter, Anni-Ming in June of 1996, lives in New York City.
